Leanne Fitzgerald
Leanne Fitzgerald graduated from the TUD Conservatoire with an MMus in Vocal Performance where she studied with Stephen Wallace and répétiteur Aoife O’Sullivan.
Leanne is a member of the Irish National Opera company chorus. With INO, Leanne had her role debut as the Notary in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale in November 2022 and Noble Orphan 3 in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier in March 2023. Last season Leanne covered the roles of The Shepherd Boy in Puccini’s Tosca and Annina in Der Rosenkavalier. Also in 2023, Leanne sang in the chorus of Peter Sellar’s adaptation of Purcell’s The Indian Queen with the new Utopia Choir conducted by Teodor Currentzis at the 2023 Salzburg Festival. Previously Leanne performed with the Sestina chorus for Opera Collective Ireland’s production of Handel’s Semele which won the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Opera in 2022. Leanne was Company Artist with Cork Opera House in 2018 where she sang the role of Pitti-Sing in their production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado.
Leanne is also a keen ensemble singer and has performed regularly with Chamber Choir Ireland, Sestina, Ardú and Resurgam.
